High-resolution calorimetry in pulsed magnetic fields

چکیده
We have developed a new calorimeter for measuring thermodynamic properties in pulsed magnetic fields. An instrumental design is described along with the construction details including sensitivity of RuO2 thermometer. The operation demonstrated by heat capacity three samples, pure Germanium, CeCu2Ge2, and $\kappa$-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu[N(CN)2]Br, fields up to 43.5 T. found that realization field-stability key high-resolution under also tested performance employing two measurement techniques; quasi-adiabatic dual-slope methods. demonstrate this study capable performing calorimetry fields, which opens opportunities high-field studies.

High-resolution electro-magnetic calorimetry with noble liquids
Electromagnetic calorimeters with noble liquids and their limits in resolution are discussed. The origins of “initial” current measurement in calorimetry are retraced and the performance and first results of the NA48 calorimeter (quasi-homogeneous calorimeter with longitudinal electrode structure) are presented. Results of the prototype calorimeters of KEDR (quasi-homogeneous calorimeter with t...
متن کاملHigh-Resolution T2 FMRI at High Magnetic Fields Using PSIF
At very high magnetic fields such as 7 Tesla, it is expected that imaging techniques that take advantage of the Tz BOLD effect will produce activation maps more specific and better localized to actual sites of neuronal activation than those arising from the T; BOLD effect. In this work, the PSIF (gradient-reversed FISP, SSFP, CE-FAST) sequence is used as such a technique because it is particula...
متن کاملHigh-Resolution, Low-SAR T2 Imaging at High Magnetic Fields
The PSIF (gradient-reversed FISP, SSFP, CE-FAST) sequence is demonstrated to produce high-quality, T,-weighted images in human brain at magnetic field strengths of 4 Tesla and above In contrast to spin-echo or multiple-echo imaging techniques commonly used in clinical practice at lower fields, the importance of Bi homogeneity in PSIF imaging is minimal and the average RF power deposition is low...
متن کاملHigh Frequency Magnetic Fields in Treatment of Osgood-Schlatter Disease
We are studied efficacy of high frequency magnetic fields (HFMFs) in treatment of Osgood-Schlatter disease (OSD) including X-rays signs. THELF system apparatus has been used for treatments on 32 young sportsmen (9-15 years). 18 boys and 14 girls, with HFMFs (base frequency 27.125 MHz, with different impulse repetition frequency of 640 Hz and 320 Hz, and absorbed power 3-5 VA). Injured sportsmen...
متن کاملPlasma dynamics in pulsed strong magnetic fields
Recent investigations of the interaction of fast-rising magnetic fields with multi-species plasmas at densities of 10– 10 cm are described. The configurations studied are planar or coaxial interelectrode gaps pre-filled with plasmas, known as plasma opening switches. The diagnostics are based on time-dependent, spatially resolved spectroscopic observations. Three-dimensional spatial resolution ...
